Sexy Makeup is subtle makeup.

Talk to any guy and they will tell you that they like women who look naturally beautiful. However i always notice that my husband thinks i look really pretty when i have a little make up on...

So the type of make up men hate is that thick caked on foundation, goopey lip gloss and dark pencilled in eyebrows.

But ladies, We all know that smoothing uneven skin tone with a little good well matched foundation can really do wonders for our appearance as can a natural looking lip colour and some subtle eye make up.

Its all about enhancing our features as opposed to hiding them or trying to make ourselves something we are not.

If your make up is well applied no-one should notice your make up- They should just notice you and how lovely you are!

Eye make up Tips

The Eyes are one of the sexiest areas on the face, and deserve your attention!  The key is knowing your own face.  We are all different.  Some people can pull off a darker smokey eye or more dramatic eye makeup without looking too fake (Audrina Partridge is a good example of someone who suits quite dark eye make up).  Other people look best with next to no eyemake up on (Kristen Cavallari suits a more natural eye). I reccomend playing round with a few different styles in the privacy of your own bathroom - or go to a makeup counter and get a makeup artist to try some looks on you. Bobbi Brown and M.A.C counters are a good place to start because they have actual Make up arists working there.

-One more tip... Guys do not get clumpy mascara! make sure you get out all the clumps out and evenly coat your lashes so that they look natural.

Foundation Tips

This is highly personal and you should really do your research- Good foundation is the canvas which makes or breaks your whole make up look. So try a few different ones on before you buy. Make sure it matches your skin. Try different textures as well as colors - this can make a big difference to how foundation looks on your skin. And dont feel like foundation needs to be a mask - just apply it to the areas that really need it. Also it doesnt have to be expensive!- Maybelline Dream Matt Mousse works great on my skin.

Blush/Bronzer Tips

A great blush can lift your whole look.  So if you havent experimented with cream blushers - try them out. Maybelline does a great cream blush, a little goes a long way, try it on the apple of the cheek and blend outwards. Bronzer, can be a great complexion enhancer, dust a little around the edges of the face, with a big brush, you can subtly enhance the cheek bones, even go down the bridge of the nose, basically enhance where the sun would naturally tan your face - never go too dark or too sparkly. Nars has a nice bronzer. But definately try before you buy.

Lip stick/Lip gloss Tips

A good lip colour can lift your whole face. This can be a fun to play with. for a natural look try glosses. I love Laura Mercier's tube glosses, Lip fushion does an amazing lip plumper gloss that can be worn alone or over lip stick, my favourite color is Sexy (of course!), I use this quite subtly- (not very thickly applied) and the color looks great and natural. Also if you are doing a darker lip, keep the eye make up natural. I love a bold red lip for a bit of glamour.
